LONDON (AP) — Australian-born entertainer Rolf Harris has been sentenced to five years and nine months in prison for sexual abuse of young girls.

Following the sentence pronounced Friday, the 84-year-old now faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life behind bars.

Harris is a British entertainment stalwart who hosted television shows, painted an official portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and performed at her Diamond Jubilee concert.

He was arrested as part of a police investigation into sexual abuse allegations stemming from another celebrity pedophile scandal, and was convicted of 12 counts.

Harris' attorney, Sonia Woodley, citing his age and ill health, argued he'd already been punished and shamed. But British Judge Nigel Sweeny said Harris showed no remorse for what he described as a breach of trust.

HEYBURN, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho woman gave birth while driving to a doctor appointment and delivered her daughter by herself.

Shawna Uriguen delivered the 6-pound, 7-ounce baby Tuesday while she driving from work to a doctor's appointment, the Times-News reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/1ocS1tx). She was on the phone with her fiance, Clay Crown, and said she was trying to find a place to pull over when the baby was born. She said she quickly got the baby out of her pant leg and checked to make sure she was OK.

Uriguen, 29, said she had been having contractions but didn't think she was in labor. The baby, named Kimber Marie Crown, was due on Saturday.

Uriguen said medics arrived in minutes, and she was taken to the hospital to get checked out. Uriguen said she and the baby are fine.

Brazil's World Cup soccer stadiums and hotels are packed. But events like that don't pay for themselves. South Africa hosted the last World Cup and the country wasn't left entirely empty handed.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greece's finance ministry says a key body monitoring the country's international bailout has approved the disbursement of the next batch of rescue loans.

The ministry said the Euro Working Group, made up of finance ministry officials from the 18-country eurozone and representatives from the European Commission and European Central Bank approved the installment Friday during a teleconference.

Eurozone finance ministers are expected to formally approve the disbursement of the 1 billion-euro ($1.36 billion) tranche in a meeting in Brussels on Monday.

Greece has relied on international rescue money since May 2010 when it found itself unable to raise funds on bond markets due to a severe financial crisis. In return, it has had to overhaul its economy and impose spending cuts and tax hikes.
